Do the little round blind spot mirors for the side view mirrors work the same way as a wide blind spot mirror?

that you would put on for the rear view mirror? reason i am asking is because the newer cars wont fit the blind spot wide mirrors over the rear view mirror so im wondering about the little ones that people use for the side view mirrors.

They are both convex mirrors, so basically they work the same. The placement location of a convex mirror determines what you can see in it. Most newer cars have a right side mirror that is slightly convex to help see in blind spots. If the car’s mirror is convex it will say at the bottom of it, that things in this mirror appear closer or farther than what they are.
