Why when I put a 3.5 volt spare bulb in a 35 light set, it automatically burns out?
I think that for a 35 light set, it’s 125 amps, and you divide 125 amps by 35, and it’s around 3.5 volts. So, why is that bulb burning out?
This is in the Christmas section because you buy light sets during Christmas. It’s either I put it in Halloween, or electronics.
I don’t see a electric section. This was in my opinion the best section to put it in.
Not all lights are created equal. Even though there is nothing wrong with your math, there could be something wrong in the socket that is killing your bulbs (wiring, short, …).
If it were me, I would pull the strand and rewire the entire thing. The $3-$4 you would spend are not worth the heartburn.
