Voltage to cargo lamp of a pick up.?
Hello,
I am looking to wire up some leds inside my tool box in the back of my pick up, I am going to run the wires from the cargo lamp so when I turn the cargo lamp on the lights in the tool box turn on.
I work over night in the oil field and can never see inside the tool box when I need something.
So. I am looking to find out what voltage runs this light and what resistor I need to run the leds that I am installing.

I put dome lights from an RV inside my tool box. One on each side. I did have a problem forgetting to turn them off, so I added mercury tilt switches, when I lifted the tool box lid, the light would come on, and down, the light was out.
