I need information on how the failure to heed the warning of Admiral Yamamoto led to the destruction of Japan?
He was apposed to the attack on Pearl Harbor and also had advocated a negotiated end to the war by Japan. He realized the allide momentum in the pacific would ultimatly lead to our victory over Japan. However He also knew that Japan would defend it’s homeland at all costs and that the allies would have to inflict overwhelming damage both to the popluation and the infrasructure of the country to finally force japan’s surrender. Ameriaca and its allies, heavily bombed the country and unleashed two atomic bombs to finally end the war causing great distruction and loss of life in Japan. Had the Japanese leadership listened to Yamamoto, this could have been avoided all togather.
