How do I work out Input Voltage in this question – Electronics Help?
I need help to do this question

If you cannot read it the question is – Calculate the value of the input voltage ( V1) in dark conditions. Can someone show me some the working as well as the answer to the question.
in dark conditions the LDR will have a resistance of 10,000, and the 5 volts will be split across the two resiatnces in the ratio of 10,000 to 1,000 or 10 to 1
total resistance is 11,000
5V/11,000 = 0.4545 millivolts across each ohm of resistance
therefore the voltage across the 10,000 ohm LDR will be 4.54 volts
and the voltage across the 1,000 resistor will be 0.454 volts
V1 – 0.45 volts
|I have deliberately limited this to 2 decimal places as, in real life resistor tolerance values and other circuit conditions will affect the voltage measured
