Vista and XPPro dual boot. Auto restart requires reselection of active OS. Want to eliminate this extra step.?
Operating systems on separate Sata drives. No Problem to boot either system, however when a required reboot with an active system have to go again thru the operating system selection screen.
You can edit boot.ini so that the delay is only like 3 seconds… You have to have the selection though or else there’s no point in having dual boot… make sure to make a backup copy of your current boot.ini I’d name it like boot.ini.old or somethin like that. GL. Be careful. *boot.ini is found in the root of C: You will need to see hidden files. To do this, open my computer > click tools > folder options > view tab > show hidden files > uncheck hide known file extensions > uncheck hide system files.*
