Power Outage, Computer powered, but no POST!?
A few weeks ago, there was a power outage at my house. The next day, I tried to turn on my computer, everything turned on and seemed to be working, however, the post process took longer than normally. The computer loaded up windows but then unexpectedly restarted, but wouldn’t post!
Open my case to check hardwares. Notice when the computer is on one of the case fan (front fan) near the bios chip is not working. I also notice that the beep indicator has stop and the blue led infront is not on. Everything else aside from that one fan is working, the cpu, ram, graphics card, etc. I know this because one day my computer worked for 5 hours and when I turned it off for the night, and turned it backed on it the morning it had the same problem.

it sounds like you had a power spike / surge before the failure. If you are lucky it is just the fan that was damaged and your system is overheating. But chances are you are not quite that lucky as it usually takes some 20 minutes for your system to overheat.
To me, it sounds like the power supply took a hit and one or more of the voltages are fried or incorrect. First lets look at the fan. Check the power lead to the fan, some plug into a power supply connector, try re-seating that connection and then try switching to another connector (swap with the one to the CD if there aren’t any extras). I suspect all of these will fail to do anything. Since you have the covers open, you might also try re-seating all of the power connectors.
If the POST (Power On Self Test) fails, the two most likely causes are the power supply is damaged and needs replacing which is not that expensive and rather easy to do, or the motherboard is fried, which IS that expensive but luckily, not as likely. It is also possible your processor is fried but it is very rare. Use your nose and sniff around the power supply. If it smells like burnt rubber, replace it ($20-$45). If it doesn’t, that does not mean it is not damaged, you can try replacing it anyway or take it in to be serviced.
